The BFD flange gasket is used during the installation of risers in well construction to protect both the risers and the well casing itself from damagehe installation of risers in well construction. Since in most cases a plumb bore is not always available, contact of the riser with the well wall may occur during installation or operation. Any shocks that may occur during operation of the pump(s) are thus absorbed. This is avoided by using the BFD flange gasket due to the geometric design (“rubber tubes”) of the gasket. As a result, the use of well flange gaskets provides a high level of operational reliability.
